Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Capstone Course, where students gain the technical and interpersonal skills needed to plan, complete, and deliver significant engineering projects to real customers. Our projects are sponsored by a variety of organizations, ranging from small start-ups to large, well-known institutions.

In this senior design course, students work in teams to solve real-world engineering problems or produce prototypes for genuine clients. This hands-on experience helps students develop and refine essential soft skills, such as communication, time management, and teamwork, in addition to their technical expertise. Through collaborative work, students learn to develop a strong work ethic, maintain a positive attitude, and display professional poise – skills that are often outside the focus of their technical courses.

Our program is a significant learning experience and provides an excellent opportunity for students to use their classroom education to solve real-world engineering problems. Furthermore, a few lucky students get recruited by their project sponsors, making it an ideal way to transition to a professional engineering career.
